Golar’s FLNG on way to Singapore from Cameroon

Golar LNG’s 2.4 mtpa FLNG Hilli has left Cameroon’s Kribi after eight years of operations and is heading to Seatrium’s yard in Singapore. The unit will undergo upgrades, life extension, winterization and installation of a new mooring system before redeployment in Argentina. Hilli completed its Perenco contract in July after producing 10 million tonnes of LNG since starting operations in 2018. From 2027, it will serve a 20-year charter for Southern Energy’s Argentina FLNG project, alongside Golar’s future 3.5 mtpa MKII FLNG from 2028.
