Harvest gets more time from FERC for Kenai LNG import project

A unit of Houston-based Harvest Midstream has secured an extension from the US FERC to complete and place into service the Kenai LNG cool-down project, which will convert the former export plant in Nikiski into an LNG import facility. Following its recent acquisition of the Kenai terminal from Marathon Petroleum, Harvest is advancing plans to redevelop the site to support Southcentral Alaska’s projected gas shortfalls. FERC has extended the construction deadline to December 17, 2028.
