India continues to boost LNG imports

India’s LNG imports rose 10.5% in October to 2.93 bcm, totaling 22.08 bcm in April-October, up 22.2% year-on-year, costing $8.9 billion. Domestic gas production fell 1.6% in October to 3.11 bcm but grew 1.1% in April-October. Key LNG terminals like Dahej operated at 103.9% capacity, while others ran below 50%. Petronet is expanding Dahej by 5 mtpa by March 2025, and the Chhara terminal is set to launch by year-end.
