Japan and South Korea to strengthen LNG ties

Japan and South Korea agreed to expand LNG cooperation as Middle East disruptions threaten regional energy security. The move builds on a March Jera-Kogas MoU covering LNG supply/demand coordination and possible cargo swaps. They also plan stronger information sharing on crude oil supply, demand and stockpiles.
