Jordan, Egypt seal FSRU deal
Jordan has signed a deal with Egypt to import LNG via Egypt's FSRU for the next two years. The agreement, signed by Egypt’s EGAS and Jordan’s NEPCO, will provide Jordan with up to 350 mcf of LNG per day. This is to secure LNG supplies in case of emergencies. After 2026, Jordan plans to use its own onshore LNG terminal in Aqaba. The deal also outlines priority use of the FSRU between the two countries. Additionally, Jordan has chartered an FSRU, Energos Eskimo until 2025, and Egypt may take over its use after that.
