Mercuria to buy more LNG from Commonwealth

Mercuria has amended its 20-year LNG SPA with Commonwealth LNG, increasing its offtake from 1 mtpa to about 1.5 mtpa. The revised contract also gives Mercuria the option to extend the term by up to three additional five-year periods. These amended SPAs support Commonwealth’s 9.5 mtpa Louisiana LNG project as it moves toward financing and an expected FID in the coming weeks.
