Pakistan expected to receive another qatari lng cargo
Pakistan is set to receive a new Qatari LNG cargo at Port Qasim today, delivered by the 174,000 cbm carrier Mihzem, which has already crossed the Strait of Hormuz and was sailing in the Gulf of Oman. This follows another Qatari cargo, Al Kharaitiyat, which also transited Hormuz and was located near Port Qasim on Tuesday. The arrivals matter because they suggest some Qatari LNG flows to Pakistan are still moving despite heightened risks around Hormuz. Pakistan is therefore expecting cheaper long-term Qatari contracted volumes, leading Pakistan LNG to cancel its last two spot cargo tenders.
