Thailand to buy additional spot LNG cargoes

Thailand’s Energy Regulatory Commission approved the purchase of three spot LNG cargoes for March–April to ensure power supply stability amid Middle East tensions. The decision follows concerns that some LNG sources and shipping routes are exposed to regional risks, potentially affecting deliveries. Authorities asked LNG shippers to secure additional or alternative supplies to maintain sufficient fuel for electricity generation.
