Danaos invests in Glenfarne's Alaska LNG Project
Greek container vessel owner Danaos will make a 50 million dollar equity investment in Glenfarne's Alaska LNG project, it will also be the preferred tonnage provider to construction and operate at least six LNG carriers. Glenfarne is developing Alaska LNG in two financially independent phases, phase one consist of a pipeline to transport natural gas from Alaska's North Slope and phase two will add the LNG liquefaction terminal and related infrastructure to export 20 MTPA of LNG. Glenfarne has secured preliminary commercial commitments from LNG buyers in Asia for 11 MTPA of LNG.
