TotalEnergies inks LNG supply deal with China’s Sinopec

TotalEnergies has signed a heads of agreement with China's Sinopec to supply 2 mmt of LNG annually for 15 years, starting in 2028. This deal strengthens TotalEnergies' position in China's LNG market, following a strategic cooperation agreement with Sinopec earlier this year. In addition, TotalEnergies has secured six other LNG contracts in Asia this year, totaling 4 mtpa, with various buyers, including contracts with Indian and South Korean firms. In Q3, TotalEnergies sold 9.5 mt of LNG, showing a quarter-to-quarter increase despite an 11% drop in year-to-date sales.
