Excelerate to deploy newbuild FSRU in Jordan

Excelerate will deploy its newbuild FSRU Excelerate Acadia to Jordan’s Aqaba LNG terminal under a nine-month charter starting mid-2026. The move is linked to delays at Iraq’s first LNG import terminal, planned at Khor Al Zubair and originally expected to start in Q3 2026. Work on Iraq’s jetty reinforcement and fixed terminal infrastructure has been temporarily delayed by the Middle East conflict. Excelerate now expects the Iraq project to start in 2027.
