North Macedonia plans to buy US LNG
North Macedonia plans to import US LNG via Greece under a new trade framework agreement announced by the White House. The deal highlights a new gas interconnector between North Macedonia and Greece, aimed at improving energy security and diversifying supply sources. North Macedonia is expected to begin purchasing US LNG once the 66.7 km pipeline, with an initial capacity of 1.5 bcm per year, is completed. Greece’s LNG terminals at Revithoussa and Alexandroupolis, which mainly receive US cargoes, will support these future imports.
